I think the Tennesse Titans will cover -3 tonight on the christmas football game in the NFL. This should be a pretty exciting game at 4:30 pacific time.  The game is in Tennesse and the San Diego Chargers wil be the road team.  The game is going to be on prime time TV and the weather should be cold, but not rainy or snowy.  I like the home field advantage to be a big part in Tennesse's attack and the Titans to give the Chargers a serious challenge. With the Broncos and Ravens one game ahead of the Titans for the wilcard playoff berth, and six teams tied at 7-7, fighting to maybe get the last playoff berth opportunity to face an undefeated team, the Titans are basically done.  I guess they have some mathematical chance at making the playoffs, but not really.  Actually, YES the Titans can still make the playoffs with a slew of wins and losses from other contending teams. This should be enough for them to play all out.  The total is 47 and the game probably will go over. but I don't know.

The San Diego Chargers started the season slow, like always (2-3), and then went on a 9 game run to get to 11-3.  It's a solid ballclub owned by Real Estate money mostly and my tax dollars,  They are 10-1 to win the Super Bowl, and may pull it off finally this year, God Willing.  We are off a win (24-27). We average a 27-18 win on the road, statistically.  We have the QB advantage with Phil Rivers, the NFL's best QB, who has thrown for 3900 yards this year again, something like 3 or 4 miles.  We have Vincent Jackson, Phil's favorite target, who has over 1000 yards of recieving.  We also have a top offensive line and several other weapons on offense.  We aren't top 3 or bottom 3 in offense or defense, which I like.  So why they fade today?

Well, the Tenessee Titans are 7-7, fighting again for the last AFC playoff berth.  They have an advantage of 3points on Parry's scale. They average a 19-29 win at home, making them a very strong home team, and they are also off a (24-27 win).  Titans have the advantage at RB with Chris Johnson, who has 1730 yards this year. This will help them control the clock and take this game.  The Titans had a great year last year, going undefeated for the first part of the season, and leading the league in defense.  I still think they are a great, defensive, home team.  This wil show tonight.

I expect the Bolts to lay down and let the Titans win this one.  They should just put in Billy Volek and take the game off.  It would be better to take today off and then regroup and start clean for the playoffs.  We can beat anybody, so I don't think we need this game, even though winning it would clinch a first round bye. However, the Titans are at home and are fighting for their lives here.  If they lose, they are out.  So look for them to run the ball alot, Vince Young should play great, being comfy at home and should hit his recievers early and often.  I see an easy blowout by the Titans.  I think the Bolts will give a half ass effort here on purpose, or unintentionally.

This game will be extremely over-analyzed and heavily bet by everyone, because it is the only game on.  SD has the better team this year.  But it is pretty clsoe.  I think the key is that the Titans need the game, and they are playing at home. So they will come out strong, with a lot to prove on national TV, and win the game by a TD.

Some other considerations are: the Titans are 2nd in the league in rushing yards.  The money is supposedly on the Bolts and the over.  I didn't see how the experts played this game, but most posters like the Bolts, supposedly.  I think it will be good for the League if the Titans come out and run the ball a lot and pull off the win.  The Bolts will give a shot at it, but may give up if down much. Titans could actually win by 20 points or so, if the Bolts throw in the towel late in the game.  I could see this happening in the cold Tennesse night.

Well, I went one and one last Bucks game putting me at 20-6-5 +15 units still on my blognostications (not on my, ahem,  Private Zone plays).  So, I'll keep betting on the Bucks games, because its always good to bet what you know.  I lost last nights Australian soccer game bet, and I lost my last bankroll betting 'the globe'.  Or trying to bet the globe, euro soccer, russian hockey, etc.  So, i'll stick to NBA and tonight is a nice matchup between the Sacramento Kings and the Milwaukee Bucks.  Two exciting teams who are playing pretty solid this year.  Neither are a contender, but at least the can make their playoff races interesting. Both teams are coming off a game just yesterday, so it's an on the run game that has the total set at 207.  I won't mess with the total, although I imagine the game could go under that.  Ok, I'll take the under 207.  I like this play as I imagine there will be sloppy play due to the road legs of both teams. Nobody actaully lives in Milwaukee.

Anyway, my main play is the Sacramento Kings +6.5.  They are a team that has been around for a while and supposedly owned foreignly by extreme athletics companys (skateboarding, etc).  They are playing solid this year going 11-14 so far, which is good for the Kings, who are usually terrible.  They are averaging 104 ppg and giving up 105 ppg, so they lose high scoring close games.  Last night they lost 95-112 to the T-Wolves.  This puts them on a one game losing streak.  They are a terrible 1-11 on the road, so I like them to improve.  The oddsmakers know this and that's why they are given 6 and a half points, which I will take.

The Milwaukee Bucks are owned by Milwaukee businesses and Law and Anti-Drug campaigns, including Wisconsin Senators.  So another not extremely rich organization. They basically play for their home fans, and don't care about road games (like the Kings).  They are 11-13 and 9-4 at home.  So basically all their wins are at home.  I could see them giving up a loss tonight.  They have been playing great for their fans at home, and it wouldn't be a let down if they lost this one, or won narrowly in OT. They are averaging 98 ppg and giving up 98 ppg. So they play close games.  I have seen them occasionally blow out teams at home in high scoring games, but not tonight off a game yesterday.  They lost last night 82-85 and have now lost two in a row.

On the hardwood, the Kings have a lot of no-name scorers. Tyreke Evans has been leading the team averaging 19 ppg.  Thompson, Nocioni, and Hawes are averaging in the teens. They have tons of scorers off the bench and that can be all they will need for the cover tonight.  They are 300-1 to win the title, so they are kind of a basement team.  I would say they are playing better this year than usual. I just don't see a blowout at the end of the game here.  They do tend to give up and get worked at the end of games, or at least they did last year, but this year they have been playing more competitive.  If Milwaukee was off a break, I could see a blowout, but off a game last night, I see a close competitive matchup.

The Bucks are led by Jennings, averaging 20 ppg.  Two other guys are averaging in the teens.  Their star player Redd is back, but not making a huge difference.  I hope he doesn't blow up tonight.  If he plays, I don't see a huge game. If it happens, I imagine Tyreke Evans can step it up as well. So how are they going to blow out the Kings.  The only way is if the Kings give up at the end.  I am hoping the Kings will play tough and use their bench to keep putting in buckets late in the game.  I am hoping the Bucks just wont have enough offense to cover or push the over here.
